I am thinking about attendin this conference but wondered if there is anything happening closer to texas for women in the oil and gas industry? I just moved here from New Zealand and would like to be involved in any workshops relating to this topic or better yet networking events.

This post about the conference was from last year. Do you know when this year’s Women in Oil and Gas conference will be held?
Region C which serves Texas and the Gulf Coast is holding a Regional Conference in Lubbock at the end of January. This is the Region C webpage: http://www.swe.org/regionc/default.asp. You may want to contact your Region C representatives to learn more about the conference and check out the conference website (Conference registration ends Jan 15th!). There is usually a career fair and workshops at Regional Conferences. Hope this helps and good luck!
